General Terms and Conditions of Use and Contracting of the Telemedicine Service

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Dr. Pedro Oscar Yelamo Vera. They apply when you book, join or use an online consultation through drpedroyelamo.com. By booking, you confirm that you have read and accept them in full.
What do these Terms mean in plain language?
In short: booking a consultation grants a professional medical evaluation only — not a guarantee of any prescription, certificate, or outcome. Every clinical decision follows Dr. Yelamo's independent judgment after a full assessment. The service is for urgent, non-emergency care; for a medical emergency, call 112. Fees cover the telematic consultation only; any prescribed medication is purchased separately at a pharmacy.
1. Who Provides the Service
All consultations are given personally by Dr. Pedro Oscar Yelamo Vera, a physician licensed and regulated in Spain (Collegiate No. 484814280). His professional address for legal notices is Calle Arbolantxa 2, Piso 1 Izquierda, 48001 Bilbao, Vizcaya, Spain.
2. What the Service Is, and Its Limits
We offer secure, encrypted video consultations for urgent, non-emergency medical problems, as well as medical advice and follow-up.
A video consultation cannot fully replace an in-person examination. If Dr. Yelamo decides it is safer, he may end the call and advise an in-person visit, tests, or referral to another doctor or health centre.
3. Urgent Care Yes, Emergencies No
We see urgent problems that are not emergencies. This service cannot handle a medical emergency.
If you have chest pain, severe difficulty breathing, heavy bleeding, confusion or loss of consciousness, or thoughts of suicide, do not book. Call 112 (the European emergency number) or go to the nearest hospital emergency department straight away.
4. Prescriptions and Other Outcomes
Your fee pays for a medical assessment. It does not guarantee a prescription, certificate, fitness report, sick note, referral or any other result.
Dr. Yelamo issues a medical document only if, after a full assessment and using his independent clinical judgment, it is medically justified and allowed under Spanish rules.
This website is not a pharmacy. We do not sell or supply medicines. If you are prescribed one, you buy it at a pharmacy of your choice.
We do not prescribe controlled substances (benzodiazepines, sleep medications such as zolpidem, opioids or stimulants) via telemedicine. Patients who may need them are referred to in-person care.
5. Who Can Book, and Your Responsibilities
You must be 18 or over, and legally able to sign contracts, to book for yourself. A child can be seen only if a parent or legal guardian books, gives consent and is present.
You must give true, accurate and complete information about your identity, health history, symptoms, medicines and allergies. If you hide or give false information, Dr. Yelamo is not responsible for harm caused by a prescription or diagnosis based on it.
Service area: consultations are available only to patients physically located in Spain at the time of the consultation. Dr. Yelamo is licensed only in Spain and does not provide services to patients located elsewhere.
When you book, you must confirm that you are physically located in Spain. At the start of each consultation, Dr. Yelamo will ask you to confirm where you are and will record your answer in your medical record. If you are not in Spain at that moment, the consultation will not go ahead.
6. Fees, Cancellations and Refunds
The price of each consultation is shown on the website before you book. It covers the online consultation only, not medicines, lab tests, scans or other treatment. Prices are in euros and include applicable taxes.
You can cancel or change your appointment free of charge up to 24 hours before it starts. If you cancel less than 24 hours before, or do not attend, the fee is kept and not refunded, because the time was reserved for you.
If, at the start of the consultation, you are not physically located in Spain, the consultation will not go ahead and you will receive a full refund of the fee.
7. Limits of Liability
As far as the law allows, Dr. Yelamo is not responsible for harm, loss or medical complications caused by:
- False, inaccurate or incomplete information you provide.
- Not following, or stopping, the treatment plan or medical advice you were given.
- Technical problems outside his reasonable control, such as power cuts, internet failures or third-party server outages that interrupt or degrade the video call.
8. Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by Spanish law and applicable EU rules. Disputes go to the courts of Bilbao (Vizcaya, Spain). This does not remove any right you have as a consumer to use the courts of your own place of residence.
